The Orangutan
The Orangutan lives in the tropical rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra. They are the largest tree climbing mammal in Asia, and known for their intelligence. But illegal logging and palm oil are driving the Orangutan to the verge of extinction.Thousands of acres of rainforest are cleared and burnt every day to make space for palm oil plantations, causing a large scale of climate change. It is estimated that if this continues Orangutans will be extinct in less than ten years.

Bonobos
Bonobos are mans closest relative, along with chimpanzees, but very suprisingly not many people know that they exist. Bonobos are found in only one place in the world, The Democratic Republic of Congo. They have black hair and unlike their relative, the chimpanzee, they also have black faces. They share 98% of all human genetic make-up, they are even more like humans than Gorillas. Deforestation is the main factor to the bonobos endangerement, they were the latest of the great apes to be discovered, but if we do not help them they will become extinct.
